Can we ever be fully independent?

Hey Bloggers,
Do you ever think you are fully standing on your own two feet?  Are you one of these people who thrive off of the idea of being able to make all your decisions alone?  Or are you the total opposite and allow for others to input in all your decision making?
Can we ever be fully independent, or will something or someone always influence us?
I like to think of myself as a very independent person who makes all their decisions alone.  However, I have come to realise over the past couple of months that there are one or two people that influence me greatly.  Though, I am fully aware of the fact I am listening to what they are saying, they are completely turning my views around.  It is most strange for me!  I mean, I was told that coffee is pretty bad for you.  I knew that, but once I got home, I suddenly had no desire for a coffee and had a tea instead!  I haven’t had a coffee since.  What is it that allows people to have this influence over us?

Take control or be controlled...

Hey Bloggers,
What kind of life do you lead?  Do you find events just piling up and you have too much to do?  Do you find you have absolutely nothing to do?  Are you a ‘yes man’ or can you say no?
‘Take control or be controlled by those who control.’
For some of us, control is our safety net.  We like to rely on others to make decisions for us as perhaps we do not want to responsibility – we may feel inadequate.  Confidence is the key to control.  Without believing in yourself, how can you make decisions for yourself – besides the decision to let someone else decide!  Despite the fact control is often geared by confidence and courage, is it always a good thing?

You're like a tree; a bad branch can lead to a good piece of fruit...

You're like a tree; a bad branch can lead to a good piece of fruit...

Hey Bloggers,

Ever feel like just cutting someone or something out?  If you just get rid of a hurdle, you won't have to jump it, right?

'You're like a tree, a bad branch can lead to a good piece of fruit though remove that branch, you also remove that fruit.'

In life we experience many hurdles, tests some may call them or even just factors of life.  Whatever you believe, hick-ups and problems arise in many places.  There are many people who choose to deal with problems, many who choose you ignore them and others who choose to remove them.  If we remove a problem do we also remove the solution?  What if the solution is in fact a reward?  In my opinion, a tree is the best way to demonstrate the potential gain from a problem.

Telling someone something and belittling someone are very similar...

Hey Bloggers,

Are you ever in the midst of discussion with someone and then feel suddenly unable to participate?  Do you ever feel as though you are better than someone in a discussion?  Do you gain satisfaction through giving other people knowledge?

'Telling someone something and belittling someone are very similar; there is a very fine line between the two.'

Many of us enjoy an intelligent conversation (by intelligent I don't just mean about science) that really gets people thinking and exploring - though, I have learnt some people don't appreciate them early in the morning!  However, sometimes these conversations can turn for the worse.  There are a few main turns these conversations can have that lead to the participants fighting; conflict of interest’s being the main one.  Though, linking back to the title, in conversations that involve intelligence, it can result in one or both parties educating the others.  However, where is the line between belittling someone and educating someone?

Our differences make us human...

Hey Bloggers,

Do you ever feel so different that you feel detached?  Is your difference classed as an illness or disorder?  Has there ever been pressure on you to change who you are simply to fit in?

'Our differences make us human; the variety of differences increases our race's complexity.'

Without the massive gene pool humans have available to them, we would not be as successful as we are today.  Genes determine absolutely everything about us, from the shape of our nose to the size of our temper.  Though one can argue external stimuli can have a great effect on the way we use our genes, though they are still the foundation for our personality, looks and life.  For some reason, people still feel under pressure to have similar genes to others.  They want to look similar and be similar to other people.  Societies tend to idolise people or characteristics.  Is this going to prohibit our race's progression?

Knowing you're right has to be better than proving you're right...

Hey bloggers,

Have you ever been told by someone you are wrong when you know for a fact you're right?  Do you ever get angry at people who try to insist on their righteousness?

'Knowing your right has to be better than proving your right, in some cases.'

Everyday we are faced with decisons.  Decisions that can have big or small effects on the world, but never the less still there is an impact.  However, everyday we are also judged upon the decisions we make.  As the decisions we make can define our personality to others.  We can end up being purely judged on one decison!  Isn't it amazing to think that one wrong decision can braek up families, buisnesses, friendships and even marriages.  However, who decides the decisions we have made are wrong?  Who determines who has the ultimate power over morality?

Love yourself to love others...

Hey Bloggers,

Do you ever feel unappreciated?  Do you ever despise yourself simply because of who you are?  Are you prone to fault yourself rather than praise yourself?

'Love yourself to love others, have emotion to give emotion!'

We are all very much linked.  The human race's communication skills are so well developed that we are in fact able to influence others thoughts and feeling and communicate our own thoughts and feelings without even thinking about it.  Subconsciously, our motor facial muscles are working overtime to constantly change our expressions to match our moods, our sweat glands, salivary glands, eye muscles and so much more all indicate our feelings to others.  Though, like I have said, these processes are subconscious so if we are to change how they work and portray us, we have to change how we think.
